CALLING ALL WRITERS AND WEB DESIGNERS! PALESTINE VOICE MAGAZINE! INTERESTED?

We are looking for journalist, photographers, and those to interview for our new online Palestinian Voice Magazine!

I have been thinking about it recently, and I think it’s a great way for us all to get out voices out there..

The magazine will be called “Palestinian Voice,” and depending on how many articles come in, we can figure out how often were going to put out a new issue.

The magazine will not only discuss current politics, but culture, music, history, fashion, sports, up and comings, Palestinians, successful Palestinians, what Palestinians are doing for Palestine etc.

(If you can think of anything else that would be great!)

We don’t want this paper to be offensive at all, just clearly putting the knowledge and the facts out there. (So no “Falasteen ibladna ow al yahood klabna stuff ha-)

We want this to be, sound and look professional.

IF YOU’RE A PHOTOGRAPHER! Submit your photos!

IF YOU’RE A SINGER! Let us know! So we can have an interview with you, and links to your music pages!

IF YOU’RE AN ARTIST! Send them in!

IF YOU’RE A COMEDIAN! Tell us!

If you do anything at all that you’re proud of tell us! If you know anyone that would be great to interview, who is making an impact on Palestinian life, and culture in any way let us know!

We love to help get the word out about your success, and help you succeed even further, and don’t be shy to ask us for an interview either, if you want to get out there, don’t be shy of anything…

So if you love to write, if you love to talk about Palestine, if you generally know what you’re talking about… feel free to Email us, and we would love to get you in there!

We are also looking for some one who knows html, and how to webdesign to put the online magazine all together! We are currently working with formatpixel.com, if you know of a better publishing site feel free to let us know.

Memorializing 60 Years of Al Nekba – *EVENT*

It’s unbelievable that a country can be under illegal occupation for 60 years.  That human beings can be treated so badly for so long; that thousands can be displaced, and killed.  That ancient land can be destroyed, homes demolished, lives ruined.  For many who don’t truly understand the Palestinian struggle, this is just another third page story of a liberal news paper.  But for the many Palestinians, and Palestinian supporters, this is a thought that flows in their minds daily, and is something that must soon come to an end.

No matter what happens, Palestine will forever be in the hearts of the Palestinian people and their supporters.  The Palestinian culture will never be forgotten, nor changed.  Palestinian pride, will forever be in all our minds, and our blood, forever will be the same.

The Muslim American Society along with the American Muslims for Palestine are coming together along with the Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center in Mohegan Lake, NY; to celebrate the never forgotten culture of Palestine and to commemorate 60 years of Illegal Occupation.  All are welcomed, young and old, to experience traditional and professional Palestinian Debka, Palestinian cuisine, Hand made goods, and dress competitions. (So if you own a traditional Palestinian outfit, come dressed and you could win!)

Guest speakers such as Alison Weir (Director of www.ifamericansknew.org) Salah Sarsour (AMP Chairman) Sister Khalilah Sabra (Director of MAS-FF North Carolina) and Br. Ayman Hamous (MAS NY Chapter Head) will all be speaking on their Palestinian experiances.

This event will be an incredible experience for those of all ages.  Come learn about the Palestinian heritage, support the Palestinian culture.  Come learn about the Palestinian struggle, and the 60 years of Occupation, and how we, together can educate the world. The event is free, with the main program and dinner starting at 7:00pm.  For those with children, don’t let them miss out on learning the history and the culture of their land and people; and those with younger children, baby sitting will be available.

TAKE A LOOK AT FREEPALI.COM

About freepali

This site was created with a number of purposes in mind. Primary to all is to have it as a resource with the purpose of educating the general public about the conflict in Palestine. It is for all to use, both Palestinians and non-Palestinians alike. There are a vast number of websites which are in place that retain the same mission and many of these sites are referenced by way of links on this site.

It is the intent of this site to also promote dialogue and discussion regarding various topics by way of the blog section. freepali.com encourages all to participate and share information, opinions, articles, etc. to further this end.

It is the hope of freepali.com that individuals and groups will utilize this site and actively work towards the goal of educating themselves and their communities with regards to the Palestinian conflict and the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people by the brutal Zionist occupation.

Finally, in an effort to promote awareness of the Palestine-Israeli conflict, an annual scholarship has been created for students to apply for. Candidates for the scholarship must exhibit an active effort in furthering awareness of the conflict and the victimization of the Palestinian people.

Support to maintain this site and the scholarship fund will come from the sale of merchandise in our store. With a great inventory of products promoting a Free Palestine, please visit our store and share it with your friends and family. Make sure to visit frequently as new items and designs will be added on a regular basis. Donations can also be made whereby you can specify where the money goes (site maintenance, scholarship, events, etc).

The Palestinian conflict is one that is unfortunately under-reported. It is the root problem to major worldly issues, yet it is ignored.

Although many would have you believe the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict is complicated, it truly is a very simple issue of right and wrong. The controversy surrounding the conflict is pure fabrication to divert attention away from the true facts and records. International law should apply to all, without exception. For, until justice is realized, there will be no peace.

THE PALESTINIAN AMERICAN NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Palestinian American National Conference

The convening of a Palestinian American National conference that is inclusive of every Palestinian living in America is long overdue.
We are coming together as American Palestinians
to commemorate the 60th anniversary of
Al-Nakba (forced eviction of our people from
our ancient homeland).

The American Palestinian people are an important
and integral part of American Society and
as such should be empowered to become an
effective force in US policy towards a free
Palestine. Therefore, as responsible American
citizens we have a duty and a right to convince
our government that “there will be no peace in
the Middle East without the Palestinian Right
of return”.

On May 23rd, 24th, and 25th of 2008, we are
planning this conference to be held in Chicago
at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with recognized
International and American speakers, panel
discussions and a full range of activities.
This conference will be held to appeal to a wide
audience to help rescue our people from the
slums of the refugee camps and the brutality ofthe Israeli Military Occupation.
