Sick of the Media Lies About the Gaza Massacre? PROTEST!

Sick of the media lies about the Gaza Massacre?
Protest today and tomorrow in D.C., Chicago and San Francisco

As of this writing nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been needlessly killed and another 4,000 injured–all in less than 20 days. The war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces include the targeting of civilians, women and children, entire families, schools, mosques, medical aid workers, journalists and the entire infrastructure of Gaza. The IOF has also used outlawed chemical weapons against the population. Despite unanimous world-wide condemnation of the murderous and illegal invasion and siege of an already occupied people, every major news outlet in the U.S. is acting as apologists for the U.S.-supported Israeli massacre. As just one example of their biased reporting, the U.S. corporate media bias has not mentioned at all that this week the Israeli state banned two Arab parties from running in the upcoming elections.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated in the last week to help pay for the expenses for the many mass demonstrations that took place on Jan. 10. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of individuals who came forward to donate. We must go forward. The war is deepening. The death toll is climbing. We will be in the streets again in the next few days. Please continue to show your generosity and commitment and make a donation today by clicking this link.

Washington, D.C.

The Washington Post refuses to cover the demonstrations of thousands of people protesting the massacre in Gaza. Many thousands of local residents, especially from the Arab-American and Muslim community, have demonstrated on Dec. 30, Jan. 2 and last weekend on Jan. 10 in a mass march in Washington, D.C. Not one article in the Washington Post about these demonstrations!

Everyone should bring at least one issue of the Washington Post—multiple copies if you can—to literally dump them on the Post’s doorstep as we denounce their biased pro-Israeli coverage of the massacre in Gaza and their complete whiteout of protest activities in the United States, including last Saturday’s march of tens of thousands of people.

Join us on the street in front of the ABC studio during their newscast on Friday, Jan. 16 at 5 pm. We will assemble in front of ABC news to demand an immediate end to the massacre in Gaza. We will also demand that the media report on the thousands of U.S.-supported Israeli war crimes that continue to be carried out against the people of Palestine.

San Francisco

On the day after 10,000 people marched and rallied in San Francisco on January 10 to demand “Let Gaza Live,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported the demonstration had been just “more than 1,000 people.” In their January 10 edition, on the morning of the protest, the Chronicle publicized the pro-Israeli war counter-protest on the steps of City Hall, but failed to mention the “Let Gaza Live” anti-war demonstration.

Immediately after the march, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, the Chronicle’s website featured the march as its top story under the headline, “Thousands Protest in San Francisco.” By the time the Sunday paper was printed, however, the number of participants had been reduced to “more than 1,000.”

Despite being presented with irrefutable video and photo evidence (linked below) that they had massively undercounted the number of people participating in the march and rally, the Chronicle editors have declined to print a correction.

Just another day?

As you sit there watching your Fresh Prince reruns until 4am do you ever sit back and wonder if there is better things you can be doing with your life? Do you ever sit there hating that your eating a Subway sandwhich, and diet diet coke instead of french fries and a regular coke because well… you need to loose weight.   Have you ever complained about being home, and having nothing to do when a storm hits, and you have no power?  Do you ever try to do everything in your efforts, to try not to go to school or work?  Do you hate being stuck in traffic? How about toll booths… bet you hate those too. Do you hate being searched at the airport? Do you have a child, and sometimes wish that they would just shut up sometimes? Has anything ever been considered enough for you?

Now think this…

How about if you had no telivison, and instead of thinking about if you had anything better to do, your thinking about if your going to live another day.

How about if you never needed to diet, because well… you had no food to eat anyways.

How about if you had no power all day, all night, every day?

How about if you couldnt go to school, and had no job?

How about if there was a checkpoint everywhere you wanted to go, and a lot of the time, after waiting for 2 hours, you would be denied entry anyways?

How about if you were searched everytime you went to go through a checkpoint… how about if your a women forced to take off your clothes?

How about if you wished for your child to never shut up…wished for them to be silly all the time, happy, and had no fear of being shot at any second.

Do you guys ever think about how the Palestinians are living when you complain about things you do daily?
